Christopher Palmer is a Projects Manager at the Commission for the Rights of Persons with Disability (CRPD) in Malta. In this role, he oversees funding acquisition and resource management, leads multidisciplinary project teams, and ensures compliance with CRPD’s organisational and national priorities. He also represents the Commission in meetings and collaborations at both national and international levels.
Christopher has extensive management experience in health, social care, and research settings, having previously served in senior management roles in the United Kingdom and as an Associate Project Manager at the Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center, Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, USA. He has coordinated large teams, managed multi-funded projects, and supported research and service innovation in dementia and mental health.
He holds a Master’s degree in Mental Health Science from the Open University (UK), with research on gender differences in the progression from mild cognitive impairment to Alzheimer’s disease. He also holds a Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and a B.Sc. (Hons) in Sociology with Psychology. His professional interests centre on disability rights, health equity, and strengthening inclusive systems through effective project management and international collaboration.
