"Heroes" Promotional Items

This is a cardboard stand-up of the "Heroes" album cover. Bowie's picture is on one side. This stand-up was intended to be placed on a counter at the record store.

This cardboard cut-out is similar to the stand-up, but it was intended to hang from the ceiling. Bowie's image appears on both sides.

I am not sure when this "Heroes" poster was released. One might assume that it was issued in conjunction with the album, but the bottom of the poster states "IN CONCERT." Anyone out there know?

This self-portrait "Heroes" t-shirt was sold at Bowie's 1978 concert in Los Angeles.

This Bowie poster contains pictures of numerous album covers and pictures, including "Heroes."

This cardboard poster was sent to record stores to promote Stage.

This t-shirt was distributed to "record people" to promote Philip Glass's "Heroes" Symphony. I have included front side and back side views of the t-shirt as well as a close-up picture of the front pocket.

This is a 3-song compact disc which was issued to promote "Heroes" Symphony. The songs on the CD include: "Heroes," Abdulmajid, and V2 Schneider.

Kids playing around with expensive Bowie promotional items. The taller one, wearing the self-portrait t-shirt, graduated from college. The shorter one, who is now taller than "the taller one," is a junior in college. The latter likes (not loves) Bowie. The former doesn't care.
